Our verdict
This doesn't compete with the Elgato Key Light — they light up different things. The Key Light lights you for video calls; the ScreenBar Halo lights your desk and reduces contrast with the screen so your eyes tire less over long sessions. If you spend many hours in front of a monitor and notice eye strain, this shows up more than almost any other desk upgrade. The price is steep, but the automatic brightness adjustment via presence and ambient-light sensors makes it fade into the background.

Is this the same as the Elgato Key Light?
No. The Key Light lights your face for video calls or streaming. The ScreenBar Halo lights your desk and reduces contrast with the screen so your eyes tire less while working. They're complementary, not alternatives.
Can it be used with two monitors?
You need one bar per monitor for even lighting on both. In a dual-monitor setup, many users put a single bar on the main monitor and let ambient light cover the secondary one.
